COVID-19 has most of us tucked away in our homes as we wait out this pandemic. That doesn’t mean that your wedding planning has to stop. Take advantage of this time with your betrothed and check off some items on your to-do list. Check out our list of 11 Tips on how to continue your wedding planning from home!
TIP 1: Check in with all vendors. If you are having to postpone, ensure that the vendors you have already procured are still available for your new date. If your wedding is far enough into the future that you are blessed to not reschedule, it is a good idea to check in to have vendors reassure you that they will fulfill your order.
TIP 2: Work on your seating chart. Your guest count may fluctuate and with social distancing all the rage, use this time to decide on a layout and start assigning seats. Many brides do not want to take the time to organize a seating arrangement, but assigned seats alleviate confusion, saves time, and maximizes your venue space.
TIP 3: Consider a DIY project. Though some DIY wedding ideas fall short, be sure to talk with your planner or designer before proceeding! You’ve now got plenty of time on your hands, so figure out what fits and give it a go! We love unique send off props, place cards and favors to give you a few ideas!
TIP 4: Get a jumpstart on your thank you cards. Even if you are just addressing or signing the card, putting in the work now will save time down the road.
TIP 5: Brainstorm your wedding hashtag. Finding a cute and clever hashtag for your friends and family to use is always fun. Any pun or saying involving your names will get the job done.
TIP 6: Update your wedding website. Give your guests an easy and beautiful place to go to get all of the new info for your wedding day.
TIP 7: Practice your first dance. Spend time listening to music to find your perfect first dance song or reach out to your DJ for a list. Once chosen, practice your moves in the comfort of your home so you are ready for an audience.
TIP 8: Photo must-have list. Scroll through social media and wedding albums to collect a list of must-have wedding photos to give to your photographers. List out the names of your wedding party and family to help your photog wrangle the masses for those family photos.
TIP 9: Write your vows. In lockdown with your love, you should be inspired and be able to recognize all of the values and traits you love about that person. Create your own vows or simply share them in a letter on the day of your wedding.
TIP 10: Collect and create a photo montage. Show a slideshow of you and your significant other’s photos and memories at your rehearsal dinner.
TIP 11: Craft some cocktails. Get creative and craft your own personal cocktail with a clever name to serve to your guests on your big day.
Share will us some of your proactive quartinied wedding planning ideas and stay safe! Happy wedding planning!
