Deciding to get married is a major life decision. After your wedding day, your life as you know it will be changed forever. So it is no wonder that couples put a great deal of time, money, and effort to make sure that the first day of their new life together is truly epic. Yes, you will need to pick a location, date, and budget (the big three), but after those are locked down, it is time to settle on an overall wedding style. Your wedding venue and wedding gown will absolutely dictate your wedding style. Then your color scheme will come into play when selecting flowers, decor, and other vendor options. There are dozens of styles that you can choose from and you can even incorporate multiple styles into your big day. Today we are focusing on the Tropical wedding style. A Tropical style wedding doesn’t mean that you have to be on a beach or have a destination wedding. Large palms, tropical blooms, and bold colors with bleach whites complete this exotic look. Venue. For the backdrop of your Tropical wedding, as mentioned above, it does not have to be on a coast or in a rainforest. Bring that dramatic, palm look into almost any setting. The decor dictates the setting more than the four walls, so look for venues that offer a black slate and avoid rustic barn and rural outdoor settings.
Dress. Lightweight and flowy fabrics with simple, clean lines tend to be the gown styles for Tropical brides. Add a pop of interest with an exotic flower in the hair or bold jewelry. A soft silhouette paired with any length of dress will contribute to the look.
Color Palette. Bright, sandy white with a touch of bright, popping colors amongst the vibrant green of tropical plants create the color palette to a Tropical style.
Decor/Design. To create your wedding oasis, consider using palms or incorporating fruit like pineapples into your design. Bold, tropical blooms like hibiscus or orchids with dramatic hints of color create a dramatic look. Pair this style with an industrial aspect with painted palms or dried floral or go ultra glam with gold accents.
