When planning your “I do’s” there are several to-do’s to take care of. There are also some “please don’ts”! Below you will find a list of several wedding day don’ts from the pros who know how to create your perfect day! Keep reading for the list!! And please don’t do these things…love your friendly Wedding Pros!
DON’T waste your money on guest gifts. Unless it is a Coach bag, no one wants some kitschy gift to take home.
DON’T expect your family and wedding party to clean up at the end of the night. Hire pros!
DON’T use faux flowers. Often times they are more expensive than real blooms.
DON’T wait until the last minute to purchase your gown. Some designers take up to 8 months to create your dress and ship it. And then there may still be alterations!
DON’T set your date before touring venues. Be open to a few dates to book your dream venue.
DON’T attempt paper lanterns at your send off.
DON’T pass on Event Insurance. For the price, the coverage is absolutely worth it.
DON’T freeze the top tier of your cake to eat on your one year anniversary. It very rarely turns out edible! Have the baker make you a new small cake to celebrate.
DON’T put your bridesmaids in ugly dresses.
DON’T forget to eat! Plan a moment for the two of you to share dinner before going into your reception.
DON’T let your bossy aunt be the wedding coordinator.
DON’T let your cousin be the “DJ” with his iPad and playlist.
DON’T over-DIY your decor. In the end, it will save you time and money to rent items from pros.
DON’T let your mother-in-law make the cake (unless she is a pro).
DON’T skip on a videographer! You 100% will regret it.
DON’T forget that at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you are beginning a new life with the one you LOVE!
Happy Planning!! PS…hey wedding pros…what did we forget??
