More and more couples are choosing a Friday for their wedding celebration. Saturday, being the most popular day of the week to host a wedding, typically comes with a higher price tag. If you are open to the idea of having a Friday wedding, we have listed the top 10 reasons why choosing a Friday Wedding will be the best decision ever!
ONE. Top Venue Choice. There is no need to sacrifice your top venue choice, which may be booked up for Saturdays in your wedding month. Choose a Friday date! The savings of booking a Friday date means you have additional funds to hire that beer donkey.
TWO. Keep it Local. If the majority of your guests are located near your venue, then a Friday evening wedding is a no-brainer. The guests that will be coming in from out of town may have to take a day off of work, but most likely would have for the wedding anyhow.
THREE. Push it Back. Moving your timeline back to later in the day will give your guests time to get ready and get to the venue in plenty of time.
FOUR. Check the Rates. For guests flying in to celebrate with you, their flight fares will probably decrease by flying in on a Thursday instead of a Friday.
FIVE. Let’s Party. Because the festivities will go later in the evening, make the most out of your venue hours and throw a party. Friday weddings are great for the couples wanting to party with their favorite people.
SIX. Hand Picked. Friday weddings are a hot commodity on the vendor side of your wedding. Most vendors book up Saturdays quickly, so Fridays are a huge plus. Therefore, you will have a wide range of vendors to choose from.
SEVEN. Rehearsal Dinner. Your options for Rehearsal Dinner plans just expanded greatly. Booking a space for a Thursday evening is more accessible and usually friendlier on the wallet.
EIGHT. Extend the Weekend. Plan a Brunch the next morning for your closet friends and family. Or list out fun activities and experiences for your out of town guests to make the most of the “longer” weekend.
NINE. Money in the Bank. Banks are still open on Saturday. So you can deposit all of those checks/cash before you leave for your honeymoon. Or, you can make a withdrawal in case you forgot to before you left.
TEN. Take a Break. Give you and your new spouse a full day of rest before setting out on your honeymoon. You will need the rest and won’t feel rushed getting out of town.
So, now we’re curious! Are you choosing a Friday Wedding date? Happy planning!
